It’s crazy how life works out and how our Heavenly Father has quite the plan for each and everyone of his children. You might remember Xman and then I now know WHY….. well this past April we got to share a marvelous experience. We watched Zavy be sealed to his forever family. His smile brings so much joy. Pictures don’t do it justice one bit. I’m so Thankful that he is my nephew here and for all Eternity.
This boy loves everything Angry Birds. It was pretty much a no brainer what the theme was going to be. We chose the Y as the location and brought in a good amt. of boys and VOILA….a GRAND time was had.
I love parties and I let my creative goddess make her appearance.
For the cake, I decided that the last thing these boys would want to do would be to sit down with a plate and fork, so I opted for cupcakes.
I did a veggie and fruit tray.
For drinks I did some waters and game the kids some of the “On the Go” drink mixes.
Some Cheese Puffs and the Y provides pizza…we were good to go.
I bought bouncy balls from Target and hand-painted angry bird characters on them. Collected boxes from stores and let the kids go crazy in the Racquetball room.
There was foosball.
Piñata Action
I bought an Egg shaped piñata, recovered it and then painted it.
It didn’t break open so Daddy took over.
Then everyone headed to the pool.
Daddy was a great sport and all the boys were loving their live action water park.
I had such a WONDERFUL time celebrating my baby’s 6th birthday. I’m so thankful for him and for the joy he brings into my life.
I love you Lukas.
Lukas is a boy that knows what he wants. He is quite like me in that sense. So when it came to his Halloween costume it was no surprise when the words Angry Bird came out of his mouth. He seriously loves these birds. You’d think he played all the time, which he absolutely doesn’t. I came up with a plan and was good to go on Lukas’ costume. Then I had to figure out Manny’s. It wasn’t long before I realized, heck, I’m already doing one Angry bird…why not 2? !!!!
So that’s how I ended up with the cutest Angry Birds I’ve ever seen. They tricked and they treated. It was a crazy windy night, and after a few streets these boys were done. Now I’m just on Candy control duty.
Hand in hand. It melted my heart.
Halloween 2011….you rocked!
From the moment he was placed in my arms and 3 years later he still gives me the warm fuzzies. He has the ability to frustrate me like no other human being can and then point up his chin and pout his lips and all is forgotten. He is sweet. He is tender. He is stubborn. He gives the best kisses in the world. I mean the best. I’m talking grab my face with both of his hands and squeeze me into his chunky face and even mmmmwwwaaa kinda kisses. I can’t help but admit that he does have me wrapped around all his still has baby chunk fingers.
He loves to cuddle in bed. He will leave any television show just to bring his little cars into my bed and spend endless amounts of time just chatting it up and making hills and race tracks out of my arms, elbow, knees and yes, sometimes even my face. He is my baby.
He turned three this past June(same day as our anniversary) and although he is 3 and refuses to be called a baby, he loves to be babied. His daddy and big brother are his heroes. He tattle tales like no other and begs to have his shoes put on by me, even though he is more than capable to do it on his own.
Manny Manners, I love you. Thank you for blessing my life with so much tenderness and love for the past 3 years.
