When it comes to budget cuts, classrooms take a big hit. With the economy the way it is, many of our students families' lack the money for certain school supplies. Trying to get a hold of a single mother of 4 to let her know that her son/daughter needs to bring in some scissors is not worth the hassle. So when Staples has a massive sale on school supplies, teachers stock up. So I did. I got
2 packs of 500 sheets ofpaper
2 packs of photo sheets
2 packs of 2 white-outs ( i love real white out b/c as awesome as the new strip stuff is, I always break it)
2 packs of tape
2 mini MAGNETIC staplers
6 erasers
16 pencils
4 scissors
10 Bic Gel pens

AND.....I'm so excited A label maker

All for $98.21

Just kidding!!!

That's if I paid full price for everything. But since I don't......My grand total w/coupons and savings......Grand Total was $24.00 A savings of $74.21

Then we have my my other mini trip to CVS, they were also having a school supply sale.

I got:
- 2 boxes of Trail Mix Crunch
-1 box of Honey Bunches of Oats (yummy)
-1 jumbo pack of Manny's diapers
-1 Airwick Freshmatic mini
-1 Gillete power fushion
-2 scissors
-2 one subject notebooks
******And**** a Hard back photo book.


The final total....OUT OF POCKET was .....$3.80 ...instead of $71.89 that's a savings of $68.09. To date this has been my best purchase. Not my biggest savings, but the least amt. of money I have paid at the registers for such great things. The diaper pack alone is worth 3x that.
